AKC Canine Good Citizen Training & Test
By training in CGC, you and your dog will deepen your bond and become a more connected team. Not only will you and your dog learn the basics of dog training and master skills like sit, down, and stay, but your dog will become a welcomed community member when out in public.
The CGC title is a prerequisite for many therapy dog certifications, as well as a great introduction to more advanced dog sports and activities.
Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. Add this add on to any board & train or daycare & train program. One of our AKC CGC Evaluators will teach your pups the 10 skills required for the evaluation test and provied owners detailed video titorials to practice at home with their pup.
10 Skill Test Includes:
Test 1 : Accepting a friendly stranger
Test 2 : Sitting politely for petting
Test 3 : Appearance and grooming
Test 4: Out for a walk (walking on a loose lead)
Test 5: Walking through a crowd
Test 6: Sit and down on cue and stay in place
Test 7: Coming when called
Test 8: Reaction to another dogTest 9: Reaction to distraction
Test 10: Supervised separation
Graduation and Evaluation Test
Owners will be required to schedule their final evaluation test with one of our AKC CGC Evaluators with in one week after graduation. The evaluation test forms will be completed by Love for Dogs and given to owners to complete and submit for free.
This package includes one standard ribbion upon passing of the CGC test.
Love for Dogs does offer different CGC graduation packages upon request for additional an additional fee.

AKC CGC is only authorized to be added to a daycare and train package or a board and train package.
No re-funds will be given if owners decied not to schedule or take evaluation test.
If owners and pups fail evaluation test, one lesson will be given to the owners and one re-test will be re-scheduled.
